Urth for Farmer

Earn money from soil carbon

Step 1

Choose your measurement company(s)

We are tracking with international standards. Soil depth: minimum 30cm soil depth (i.e for satellite data over 20k+ hectare land masses) but ideally 1.2 meters using ACCU, Verra and ISO gold verification.

Methods currently acceptable:

Soil cores, Sonar some satellite calibrated with basseline soil cores.

Ecological measurement: Savoury institute EOV, Accounting for Nature, Regen Australian Farmer’s RestoreAg, Oricoop ECO credit (Others to come).

Methods being worked on:

Soil core technologies and viable ground biodiversity validation.

Step 2

Uploading data to make an NFVT

Let people know about your farm i.e. Locality, Biodiversity plan, what you produce, Brix readings, SAP tests, omega levels, protein levels and for carbon sales, your audited carbon reports.

The NFVT is an encrypted visual advertising tool of your good works.

Step 3

Multiply the value of your carbon through Biodiversity

We validate data and assign a biodiversity rating to increase the value of your carbon in accordance with your independent ecological audit. (see our partner’s page)

Step 4

Generate Jewels

When all your data from the auditor is compliant and ready to upload as well as all the biodiversity you have nurtured you are ready to create your first Non Fungible Validation Token in the form of a carbon Jewel equal to one tonne of sequestered CO2. Your biodiversity rating will multiply the spot price value of the carbon. Making it an even shinier sparkling jewel!

Step 5

List Jewels on Marketplace

Once your Jewels are minted (one for each tonne recorded) they are automatically listed on the urth marketplace for sale globally. You can choose to restrict the regions who have access but as only 58 companies in Australia are offsetting carbon we feel selling to a global marketplace makes sense. The buyer can source what form of carbon they want to support so look through the filters in the marketplace to see if you would like to highlight something you do really well!
